الوصف:The article analyzes the attitudes towards democracy that the “Latinobarometer” public opinion project has registered between 1996 and 2018 in Central America. This study is divided into three parts: the theoretical and documentary discussion, the analysis of political attitudes with the support of statistical tools and the discussion of the results. In the first, a review of the literature on political culture and democratization in the region is carried out, and then the conceptual category that was chosen to understand the responses of Central Americans regarding democracy as a form of government is based; in the second, a general description is made of what allows us to observe the time series from a general and logarithmic perspective; as well as the interpretation of the results obtained from the application of the Unit Root test to identify the degree of autocorrelation and the Microsoft Excel forecasting tool to make the forecasts for the years 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022; and, finally, in the third part, the results obtained from the analysis carried out and the tests applied are analyzed from a conclusive narrative.
