| Περιγραφή: | The general objective of this article is to analyze the historical process of how the professionalization of history took place in Central America from 1945 to 2001, and to study from a historical-quantitative approach the regional and local historiographical analyzes of Central American historians, within the framework of the creation of undergraduate degrees in History until 2018. In response to this objective, we have concluded that the Central American historical sciences have presented uneven progress based on the divergent timeline of the creation of historical institutional structures. In this sense, Costa Rica and Guatemala are the countries that have made significant progress in regards to the rest of the region. Transferring these qualitative data to the quantitative, the differences remain the same since 72% of the total studies belong to Costa Ricans and Guatemalans and 28% are divided between Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and El Salvador. |
