| Diğer Bilgiler: | The use of linguistic elements prototypically associated with physical space to refer to time constitutes a reflection of the conceptual metaphor time is space. The present paper examines and categorizes the different manifestations of this phenomenon in Spanish. The inquiry covers the temporal use of words that prototypically mark the dimensionality of concrete referents, the transfer of deictic elements from the spatial to the temporal domain, the expression of time units as if they formed a sequence of objects and the conceptualization of time as movement. |
