Popis:This article analyzes, from the Critical Discourse Analysis perspective, the globaldiscourse semantic sub-strategy of self-presentation, part of the global strategy ofself-legitimation, as used by La Nación, a Costa Rican newspaper, which utilizes thissub-strategy as a resource in their struggle for symbolic power, within the context ofcertain political scandals in 2004.
