Disgrifiad:An isolated lower molar of the endemic Central America Proboscidea Gomphotherium hondurensis (Frick, 1933), recovered at the Valley of Torola River is described here. This locality corresponds with the outcrops of the Corinto local fauna, previously studied and defined by the American paleontologists David S. Webb and Stephen Perrigo during the 70’s years; which is considered as one of the most important fossiliferous localities of the Upper Miocene of Central America.
