| Diğer Bilgiler: | Historical research in Mathematics Education has required the implementation of methodologies or methods that support the location, selection, and analysis of information sources and justify the interpretations that researchers make in specific historical contexts for the reconstruction of a historical event. The “method” for this research could be summarized as a process that includes its approach, the selection and analysis of sources, the interpretation of the information, and the communication of findings or results. Proposals such as this place special emphasis on the different types of information sources, primarily documentary sources, the verification of their originality, and the correspondence of their content with the information required for a specific study. These methodologies address the genesis of the categorical systems used for source analysis and the hermeneutical processes in research. This essay presents some methodologies used in historical studies, in order to promote discussion on the treatment of information sources, the strategies or techniques for their analysis and the basis of the interpretation that the researcher makes of past events, during the study of the teaching and learning processes of mathematics in geographical and temporal contexts. In conclusion, the rigorous and reflective use of these methodologies contributes significantly to a deeper understanding of educational processes in mathematics, ensuring the justification and support of the final interpretations of the studies, which link past practices and current challenges. |
