| Beschreibung: | The present study of an empirical character and based on agency theory, concerns the impact of coordination and control mechanisms in relation to the dislocations evidenced by expatriates on international assignments, which was developed for a longitudinal investigation into 12 cases of subjects moved to different locations in the world whose role was focused on learning. The results show that (a) the coordination and control mechanisms established by the “primary” are key from the strategic perspective for successful adaptation, goal achievement and later transfer of knowledge by the “agent” (b) that the mechanisms can be restricted depending on structure and environment affecting the effectiveness in implementation and (c) the success of expatriation must be assessed not only by results but for the timely replication and technology transfer to the institution. |
