Popis:There is a brief introduction on higher education in Costa Rica since the 19th century to the present. We study as independent, most categorical variables and senior multinomial regression, thus analyzing genre, school of origin, the career he wants to attend, most liked subject, student type and an index of “prestige” for each University. The results showed that the major variables that influence the choice of the University are gender, the type of school and the prestige enjoyed by higher education institutions.
