Disgrifiad:The concept of political culture has been present in political science for decades. However, most analyzes have focused on the national level, leaving the local in the background. This paper describes the main characteristic elements of the local political culture in Central America in the period 2004-2012. It concludes that local level have not become scenarios of participation and distrust in the use of resources is very high. In addition, there are differences in the attitudes towards decentralization among the studied countries.
