Descripción:The PAC’s win in the second round elections and the exponential growth in vo-ting to the FA party induces to consider that Costa Rica is oriented towards the generation of policy clearly progressive. However, despite these electoral wins, the Government of PAC is limited by its complex internal composition, a party system and a public space that constitute serious constraints to their alleged in-tentions to revert the model of development followed by the country in the past 30 years. Costa Rica was the most stable “Polyarchy” in Latin America (O’Don-nell). Nowadays, this country has uncertain Party System, political parties with very little social roots and a space of “publicness” very demarcated by some fact-powers that be clearly opposed to any attempt at alternative generated from the popular - progressive initiatives.
