| Disgrifiad: | This article reviews the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which is a behavioral clinical approach with the patient’s personal values and personal experiences as reference points to the psychotherapeutic intervention. The article describes the philosophical and theoretical foundations, premises of the therapy, general objectives, methods of clinical work, and main components of treatment. It finalizes with a critical analysis the implementation of ACT in Costa Rica. |
