It explores both the opportunities that AI brings for improvingefficiency, access to justice and legal coherence, and the risks itposes regarding transparency, procedural equality, reasoning of judicial decisions and judicialindependence.Based on a comparative analysis within the European Union and the emergingregulatory framework, particularly the Artificial Intelligence Act, the study concludes that AIand judicial guarantees can be compatible as long as technology is implemented underprinciples of legal safeguard, human oversight and institutional accountability |
