الوصف:The aim of this article is to present the trajectory of ecological ethics and animal ethics, considering their theoretical divergences and convergences in the field of environmental policy, to integrate them into a new democracy capable of confronting the ecological and climate crisis affecting nature and humanity. The research problem consists of how to link the various ecological and animal rights theories in politics so that they are functional within a democracy. The research method follows the philosophical approach of deliberation to try to integrate them within the political framework of environmental democracy. The main argument stems from the fact that humans and non-human animals are part of nature according to the perspective of the Land Ethic and the discussion unfolds around the complementarity of theories that recognize the value and rights of humans, animals, and nature within a principle of justice. In conclusion, the article outlines the fundamental theoretical lines of political convergence between ecological ethics and animal ethics to establish a new democracy capable of addressing current ecological and climate challenges.
