| Beskrivning: | In an industrialized culture shaped by technology and consumerism, the phenomenon of hypersexualization emerges. A social, media, and cultural tendency to eroticize childhood is observed. Children’s exposure to behaviors and content inappropriate for their developmental stage has implications for their well-being. A literature review was conducted to examine the scientific evidence on the relationship between the content promoted by the media and manifestations of hypersexualization in middle childhood, from a psychodynamic perspective. The findings suggest that the media environment to which children are exposed, one that prioritizes physical and sexual attractiveness, alters their self-perception and interpersonal relationships, reinforcing stereotypes and behavioral patterns inappropriate for their age. |
