Perfil sociodemográfico y académico de estudiantes en deserción del sistema educativo

| Deskribapena: | The main purpose in this work was to describe a profile of the deserter student in the Third Cycle of the General Basic Education Program during 2002. Some educative, demographic and social conditions, related to the deserted phenomenon in Costa Rica were considered. A descriptive and transversal analysis was made with a probabilistic sample at national level with 790 students, who didn’t finish the Third Cycle of the General Basic Education into the educative formal system. Among the main descriptive discoveries, there are some outstanding situations connected with the desertion such as the economical family income, the schooling parent’s level, the student academic historic, the necessity of job and the motivation level. |
