Based on this premise, the following article shows the reader a path through some of the most important portraits from the emblematic hero-father of the Mexican Mother/ Country: Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla (1753 - 1811). His name has been hugely mystified to such level that it has diminished the names of other heroes in the Mexican pantheon. |
