| Cur Síos: | The United Nations appointed 2005 as the International Year of Sports and Physical Education. The purpose of this article is to summarize, criticize and discuss the role and impact that the human movement sciences, sports and physical education have on education, the economy and science in our society. It also discusses some limitations in the Costa Rican educational system as well as possible solutions to acknowledge and value the role of physical education instructors in the integral development of society. |
