Description:The Catedra Jose Marti was created in 2000 as an idea of a group of workers from the INCOP (Costa Rican Institute of Ports), professors and students of the Sede del Pacifico of the University of Costa Rica. Conceived as an anti–establishment space for discussion and interchange of new ideas, about appropriateness of Jose Marti thinking, trying to discover how his legacy can give answers to the regions problems. The Catedra Jose Marti, in globalization times and free trade agreements, favors debates about identities, cultures and the course of our country and Our America.
