Cur Síos:In this article, we analyze the relations between exile, language and territory in a lecture of some selected poems written by Néstor Díaz de Villegas (Cienfuegos, 1956), in his books Vicio de Miami (1997) and Confesiones del estrangulador de Flagler Street (1998). The axis proposed seeks to comprehend, on one hand, some aspects of his poetics, as it was constructed in his first published books and, on the other hand, to analyze his texts in perspective with the Cuban exile condition during the period of the Mariel Crisis (1980), taking into account especially its repercussions in the cultural field.
