Disgrifiad:Between 2015 and 2016 there was an increase in extraregional mobility through Central America. The presence of migrants from several countries in Africa produced institutional challenges for their approach, as well as the elaboration of structured social discourses in racial categories. A fundamental concept to understand this situation is the migrant body, in its ontological implication and its transhumance character over the narratives of the power represented by nation-states and linked to the functioning of socially situated and historically situated bodily regimes. This reflection recovers the racialized construction of the migrant body in the institutional devices and in the social discourses linked to the situation of the African transmigrations produced in Costa Rica in recent years.
