الوصف:This article examines the attitudes of female university students towards science. This study is descriptive and comparative in nature, and it was conducted at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (Monterrey, N.L, México) from August to December of 2014. A convenience sample in which 68 students from 20 to 21 years old participated was conducted the area of nutrition whose inclusion criterion was they that had taken the subject of Bioethics, which is offered in the seventh semester of their major. The instrument called Protocol Attitudes towards Science (PAC) was used. It was found that the participating students have an index of attitude towards science of 73.21 (± 5.91) on average symbolizing a good attitude towards science, showing that 82.4% of the participants have a good attitude, and 16.2% and 1.5% of respondents have a moderate to very good attitude towards science. Considering this evidence, it can be deduced that young students show a great interest and attitude towards everything related to science. On the other hand, it can be determined that this is a consequence of the formal school curriculum and hidden curriculum that also offers teachings that are not explicit through the university spaces and programs.
