Opis:This paper is the result of a shared experience between Cuban and Mexican professors. Its objective is to assess the extracurricular activity at University Center of Tlacaélel (CUT) from the perspective of the pedagogic theory and practice, the social responsibility of the university, and the integration with other essential processes. To carry out this work, a qualitative methodological approach was applied, which involved the participant observation (with its corresponding observations recording), the specialized literature review to support the pedagogical conception of the university extracurricular process, and the analytical reflection by means of discussion groups to socialize the information and to enrich the understanding of reality through students and professors’ exchange. The outcome of this work is the pedagogical foundation of the extracurricular process and the assessment of its feasibility from the university community perception.racurricular process and the assessment of its feasibility from the university community perception.
