Education for Peace and Non-Violence: A Critical Literature Review in the Colombian Context (2020-2025)

الوصف:This article presents a comprehensive literature review aimed at examining the contributions of education and non-violence to the construction of a culture of peace in the school environment. The study focused primarily on research published in Colombia, complemented by relevant documents from other Latin American countries. The methodology employed was a systematic documentary review, which surveyed publications between 2020 and 2025, categorizing information under the axes of education, non-violence, and peace education. The findings reveal the persistence of school violence and the imperative need for pedagogical transformations to address it by understanding its constituent elements and the difficulties present in educational institutions. It is emphasized that non-violence does not imply the denial of conflict, but rather the adoption of actions to transform situations and promote well-being among students. Peace education emerges as a fundamental vehicle that integrates attitudes, skills, and reflections, requiring innovative teaching strategies that promote communication and new teaching methodologies. In conclusion, the culture of peace takes on meaning within the daily practices of educational processes, contributing actively to the reconstruction of society and the promotion of harmonious coexistence.
