Descrizione:The objectives of this article are, first, to analyze, through the reflective method and from a didactic perspective, different pictorial works exhibited mostly in Spanish museums, which show some violation of Human Rights. Second, highlight the difficulty of observing an ancient artistic work from the ethics and social justice of the present. And, finally, make the perspective of students, teachers, visitors, museum educators, etc. more critical of a painting, so that, in a responsible way, they contribute to the formation of more critical and democratic citizens. In conclusion, possible improvements are formulated, derived from Heritage Education, aimed at museums so that the observer learns to identify painful events from the past, which may be happening in the present.
