Описание: | The hostile economic, political and social contexts faced by Latin American countries have led to the continuous and systematic decline of democracy in some countries, and the complete deterioration in others. Costa Rica is no exception, and currently presents situations that can give rise to an environment conducive to social disruption, revenge, anger and confrontation. This article aims to carry out an analysis of the current context and provide an alternative to safeguard, sustain and develop the country's democratic system. The methodology used to develop it consisted of the collection and analysis of statistics from primary and secondary sources, available in digital media; in addition to the reading and analysis of different research documents that contextualize the current situation in Costa Rica and Latin America in terms of democracy. This analysis allows us to conclude that the main alternative that the country must commit to is the creation of a new social pact, which would be achieved through dialogue, greater strength in education, new transparent and ethical links, new leadership and, above all, political and civic honesty. |
