Description:In this document, we present the case of the state of the current availability of the systems of water supply and sanitation in Costa Rica, with emphasis on the areas covered by the Costa Rican Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers (AyA), the lag and amounts of investment needed in addition to the programs and projects outlined for improving the current conditions, this from the territorial point of view. The analysis was done using the spatial lag of the information on systems in several studies of the institution and the projects proposed for their solution, using tools of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
