Diğer Bilgiler:This article argues the existence of geopolitical concerns in Hispanic American modernism. Based on the chronicles of Ruben Dario, the article notes how these concerns are projected by Dario on a global capitalist scale, emphasizing the decadent aspect of the Greco-Latin culture. Furthermore, the article argues that this projection began with Dario’s perception of the modern Chilean culture in Azul (“Gold’s Song”) and also considers the current conjuncture of studies on Dario in which the Transatlantic, Hispanic character of his works becomes predominant, displacing the Latin Americanist emphasis that has prevailed as of the 1960s, primarily in the works of Angel Rama.
