| Beskrivelse: | This article offers a critical reading of Modernity and Human Rights through the lens of political theology inspired by Paul of Tarsus, in dialogue with critical philosophy from Dussel, Hinkelammert, Aristotle, and Marx. Through a genealogy of law in its tautological, juridical and economic dimensions, it argues that the option for the poor is not an act of charity, but a radical ontological rupture with the sin embedded in modern legality. The paper challenges the legal structure that supports the modern/colonial/capitalist order and proposes a communal ethics based on love as mutual servitude to the other, as opposed to the logic of property and individualism. |
