Omschrijving:Within Central American historiography, eroticism has been a topic that, in contrast to others such as the reinterpretation of the historical discourse, does not have a considerable number of comparative studies that allow understanding its development and its different approaches. With this in mind, the article, in order to enrich academic discussions, focuses on this theme in Central American short stories written by women, an aspect that in recent decades has been taking a transcendental place in literary studies. Specifically, the analysis is based on texts published in the present century that have not been studied in depth by literary critics: “La primera vez” (2002) by Costa Rican Linda Berrón, “Diosas decadentes” (2001) by Guatemalan Jessica Masaya Portocarrero and “Bicho raro” (2012) by Nicaraguan María del Carmen Pérez Cuadra.
