| 實物特徵: | The reprint of a classic text at the national level on the fields of geography and social studies is reviewed here. This text, published in 1887, starts off the ideas from the educational reform of 1886 which occurred in Costa Rica in charge of the secretary of public instruction Mauro Fernández Acuña. Apuntamientos geográficos was used as a textbook in the learning centers of the country for at least twenty years and was highly praised and recommended during its time. Nevertheless, this book was also part of a series of texts that contributed as propaganda to the imaginary of the nineteenth century of a white Costa Rica of European ancestry. |
