In Limón Reggae, the author describes the experiences of a protagonist who never finds acceptance or inclusion in any group, whether that of nation, ethnicity or politics. We find representations of Afro-Caribbean communities along with the revolutionary struggle in El Salvador and the experiences of present-day street children. In After Exile, Amy Kaminsky acknowledges the presence of images of the body in the work of many Latin American writers who have been exiled or have lived expatriate lives. Rossi explores desperate situations, both Central American and worldwide, together with a resistance struggle.
