Description:This article aims to introduce a dialogical conception of human rights, for which epistemic and communicative rights are fundamental. Based on an analysis of contemporary violations of epistemic and communicative capacities, and through an examination of the limitations of the liberal conception of freedom of opinion and expression, this paper argues about the autonomy and normative validity of the right to truth and the right to oblivion.  These are fundamental epistemic and communicative rights that go beyond the typical classifications of human rights into civil, social and political rights.
