| Diğer Bilgiler: | In the higher education of the 21st century, the university library cannot be referred to only as a storehouse of printed documents, but the importance of information sources in a wide variety of media, which are now decisive in university education, must be taken into account. The development achieved has allowed the increase of information at an uncontrollable rate and, although it has had a strong impact on the diversification of supports, on the flow of information and on the transmission of knowledge, it has also had its limitations in terms of being able to bring to university students that relevant information which is a tribute to their professional training. Bearing in mind the above, the objective is to reflect on the importance of the "Antonio Machado Ruiz" university library in the development of the teaching and educational process of the Forestry Engineering Degree at the University of Granma. Theoretical (historical-logical, analysis-synthesis and induction-deduction), empirical (survey, scientific-participatory observation) and statistical (descriptive statistics) methods were applied. A procedure for the adequate management of the different sources of information is also proposed, consisting of two actions and an operations system. The study emphasizes that adequate management of information sources enhances the quality of the teaching-educational process, in which the university library plays an important role. |
