Description:This thematic issue represents the effort of an interdisciplinary team to make visible the discussion of cuir ecologies in the Latin American context, giving voice to relevant theoretical discussions applied to concrete situations and experiences in the region. It aims to mobilize critical vision, struggle in contexts of oppression, and the transformation of individuals through their self-reflection on the ways in which we relate and coexist (both human and non-human), and how this impacts our identities and struggles. Particularly for a journal aspiring to academic reflection on feminisms, genders, and diversities, this thematic issue has challenged this goal and brought us closer to alternative positionings. It is expected that this contribution will also mobilize Latin American dynamics, constitute an additional resource for academia, and contribute to envisioning from other possible places.
