Un análisis de regresión múltiple indicaque las variables que cumplen un rol más relevante (R2=0.23) son: la eficacia percibida en lasdisculpas (β=0.24), la emoción de ira (β=-0.17), el compartir social (β=0.44) y la confianzainstitucional (β=0.64). A menores niveles de ira y mayores niveles de confianza institucional,sinceridad y eficacia percibida en las disculpas, mayor es el acuerdo con que las víctimas de laviolencia política lograrán perdonar a quienes les han hecho daño en el pasado. Original survey data from Chilean sample (N = 1267) are used to study the socio-demographic andpsychosocial determinants of beliefs about political forgiveness attitudes after the Chilean Dictatorship.A linear multiple regression analysis was carried out (R2 = .23) revealing the positive effect ofperceived apology sincerity (β = 0.24), emotions of anger (β = -0.17), social shared of emotions(β = 0.44), and institutional trust (β = 0.18). To lower levels of anger, higher institutional trust,sincerity and perceived efficacy of the institutional apologies, it corresponds a higher agreement withwhich the political violence victims will be able to forgive those who have hurt them in the past. |
