Description:This article studies the Diáspora(s) magazine (Havana, 1997-2002) from the point of view of its aesthetic and political program. It proposes a reading of the aesthetic message implicit in editorial decisions such as the use of the terms “project”, “documents” or “avant-gard”, examining the appearance more specifically material of the publication (its form of execution, distribution and circulation), The aim is to show, through the conceptual analysis and the reading of its graphic design and covers, the coherence of visual and editorial policy of Diáspora(s) with its “antiliric” program and its strong discussion with the ideology of the State. The context of Diaspora(s) implementation is essential to understand the political power of this project within the framework of the post-Soviet Cuba.
