الوصف: | The practice of conscientious objection has as its reference the transition between medieval European social formations and the first forms of commercial capitalism. Notable in this field is the work of the English author John Locke, whose work influences both the Independence of the United States and the French Revolution. Conscientious objection thus appears linked to a modern and contemporary proposal of human rights and its scope for a civil society and a rule of law. In political terms, conscientious objection is a type of blocking of the one-sidedness of the nobility (King) and religious (Church) powers that dominate medieval Europe. |
