Environmental effects of tourism from expansion and capitalist dynamics: methodological guidelines for analysis in Ibero America

| תיאור: | [Introduction]: Throughout the historical process, capitalism has led to the dispossession of land and resources, promoting the separation of rural producers from their livelihoods. In this reality, tourism activity has been promoted for accumulation purposes, to the detriment of environmental conservation and the living conditions of local populations, which is why it is necessary to contribute to the discussion of theoretical-methodological perspectives that allow us to understand the complex current situation. [Objective]: The aim of the work was to relate various theoretical and methodological approaches that have been used to address the expansion and capitalist dynamics, associated with the development of tourist activity, with the purpose of establishing guidelines for its analysis, which allow understanding the effects environmental that is generated in the Ibero-American context. [Methodology]: A critical analysis of the documentary collection was carried out, which made it possible to identify the various disciplinary approaches, theoretical and methodological contributions that have been used to address this object of study. [Results]: Various guidelines and a structural design are outlined, supported by several topics, categories, and subcategories of analysis, which would make it possible to understand the environmental effects that the activity is generating. [Conclusions]: This proposal can provide theoretical and methodological support for the development of empirical research, although it is necessary to advance in the procedural design and determination of verification means. |
