| Description: | Carlos Gagini proposes the construction of a utopian space, Coco’s Island. His novel La caída del águila [The Fall of the Eagle] evokes, in a reading from the classical tradition, the myth of Atlantis, an example of a utopian space in antiquity. Thus, this analysis establishes the relationship between the Atlantis myth, mentioned in Plato’s dialogues Critias and Timaeus and the idea of a utopian space developed by this Costa Rican novelist. |
