| Descripció: | The purpose of this article is to describe the main events in the development of Costa Rican Calypso, from the arrival of the first Afro-Antilleans to build the Railroad at the end of the 19th century to the present day, paying attention to the identity of calypso musicians and the transformations that this cultural expression has undergone in its passage throughout the 20th century and so far in the 21st century. |
