| Description: | Our investigation purpose stems from the problematic lack of any instrument for a living will in the Costa Rican law and health system. This lack of documentation puts people (men and women) in a vulnerable situation of being unable to self-determine their own lives when faced with a debilitating illness or accident. This inability to self-determine one’s own life in these situations compromises the informed consent honouring and the wishes of these people in the fnal processes of life. |
