The text addresses the culture, customs and traditions of Nicaragua and CostaRica during the nineteenth century, all of which reflect not only the cultural conditions of both countries, but also a way of interpreting culture and civilization in which Europe adopts a position of superiority and privilege over other countries. This implies a colonialist, utilitarian and racist vision in the narrative. |
