Descripció:More than 18% of Costa Ricans over the age of 18 are persons with disabilities (PwD), in addition, job unemployment in this group is greater than general population, reaching 60%. This article seeks to motivate equal employment opportunities, so it is important to analyze the implications of labor inclusion, including the repercussions on companies and employees with disabilities. For this purpose, a descriptive investigation is carried out, carrying out a literary review, applying surveys and interviews, revealing the little experience of the companies that hired PwD and the ignorance of its benefits; in addition, the general perception that there is no effective promotion of inclusion by the Costa Rican government. Companies consider the lack of adequate job profiles and investment in physical adaptations as the main challenges, while the PwD consider that the challenges lie in training, changes in recruitment and selection processes, job profiles, and mainly the attitude of employers.
