Description:The aim is to argue, in the most appropriate way possible, the proposal of “praxis” and “historical reality” of Ignacio Ellacuría. This approach is only a provisional aspect, given the prolific nature of his work. Along with the internal war that broke out in El Salvador in the last third of the 20th century, the philosophy of liberation attempted to provide a theoretical justification for the most vulnerable. The thought that emerges from these facts is eminently critical, in the sense of being the starting point of the victims. From this consideration, Ignacio Ellacuría committed himself to the political situation. The proposal is to locate his thinking in a politics of liberation in material terms (located in corporality), critical (from the victims) and negative (from hunger).
