תיאור:This article aims to position, highlight, and understand the psychosocial impact of the violence exerted on the Bribri indigenous families who are reclaiming land in Salitre. The techniques used for data collection include document review, participant observation, in-depth interviews, and result dialogues for the analysis process. The main results show that there is a psychological impact on the interviewed reclaiming families, due to the constant threat to their lives, which has established death as a possibility and generated a psychosocial trauma. Furthermore, it is identified that the value and the relationship with the land of the reclaiming people acts as a meaningful anchor that legitimizes and sustains their struggle. In conclusion, it is considered that the impacts of the violence have caused severe harm both at the individual and collective levels. In light of this, it is urgent to stop the violence, resolve impunity, and establish justice, reparation, and compensation for the damages.
