その他の書誌記述:The aim of this article is to address the cooptation of indigenous memories and the denial of the possibility to claim one’s own «heritages» due to the historical denial imposed by the modern/colonial discourse. Starting from a general contextualization of this denial process, it seeks to highlight the central elements to understand the situation of indigenous populations in the department of Huila, Colombia. Through documentary review, it outlines how the indigenous communities of this department have been made invisible through what could be called a «de-indigenization» of the territory. These documents also reveal the activation of various agencies of indigenous populations with the aim of positioning themselves not only critically in relation to the State but also within social, political, and legal frameworks different from those that led them to a position of subordination. Although this position is difficult to transform, what is evident is the growing process of asserting their claims to their own ancient rights concerning their history, culture, and territorial and comprehensive processes.
