Miêu tả:This essay is about the peace education processes carried out by the Student Ombudsman's Office and the Inclusive Education Project of the State Distance University in penitentiary centers in Costa Rica. Physical violence is one of the recurring crimes of people in deprivation of liberty, which is growing due to interpersonal relationships between the population. They require training in different areas because prisonization generates important alterations in emotions, cognition and perception; Therefore, the culture of peace allows them to self-analyze their behaviors and grow as a collective. The methodology used in the research is experimental and participatory, with the aim of experiencing how to use nonviolent communication, manage conflicts and mediate through a culture of peace. The general objective of these training processes is for the learner to be trained holistically so that they know how to coexist peacefully. The main conclusion reached is that training processes in peace education are necessary to reduce the levels of violence in interpersonal relationships among the prison population, the aggression to which they subject themselves and the treatment with their families.
