Description:This article describes the theoretical and methodological systematization criteria that were carried out, based on three research and teaching projects, to develop the proposal, validation, adaptation, and application of the methodological guide for planning practical work in the Sustainable Tourism Management program (code 00080) and the Sustainable Tourism Management and Administration program (code 00110) at the Universidad Estatal a Distancia. Specific actions were developed under a mixed approach, such as curriculum content analysis, interviews, and surveys with faculty and students, with the purpose of systematizing the practical experiences that each department offered in its courses. The main finding was the need to standardize the management of practical work planning through an instrument for collecting information and evidence of practical activities such as field trips, self-guided tours, workshops, didactic visits, among others, carried out in each of the theoretical–practical courses of the curriculum. This instrument should offer generalized guidelines and improvements for didactic processes.
