Beschreibung:In the region, new concerns have emerged regarding the intersections between trade unionism and feminism, driven by the demands of women workers within the framework of the fourth feminist wave. This article analyzes the academic perception of the feminist politicization of unionized women based on a review of regional literature. The findings show that, in Central America, the connections between the labor and feminist movements have been scarcely addressed in research, despite their relevance for understanding contemporary transformations in work and collective organization, as well as their differentiated impact on women workers. In a context of weakening unions, incorporating feminist demands—especially in response to the crisis of social reproduction—can contribute to union revitalization.
