Popis:During his first year in office, Rodrigo Chaves Robles has obtained high levels of support for his management, something atypical for presidents in Costa Rica in the last 20 years. Based on the data obtained from two surveys, the aim is to determine which variables and characteristics of the population are related to the assessment of the management of Chaves Robles, to generate an explanation for this phenomenon. It is concluded that the support of the population is not linked to the characteristics and leadership style of the president, or to the political agenda that he promotes; nor is there a relationship between the level of support expressed and the sociodemographic variables of the population. On the other hand, the perception of the population of their socioeconomic level and the channels used daily on politics do affect the assessment expressed of the work of the president. A relationship is also identified between certain religious practices and the positive assessment of the work of Chaves Robles.
